Canoeing originated from ancient times, and modern canoeing was born in 1865. The 11th Olympic Games in 1936 first listed kayaking as a competition. The world's top universities, such as the University of Oxford, has taken canoeing as a college sport. This sport is even more popular with the elites. In a quiet atmosphere, many doubts and difficulties in study and life can be easily solved.
皮划艇源于人类古老的水上工具独木舟，随着人类文明前进的步伐1865年诞生了现代皮划艇运动，1936年第十一届奥运会正式将皮划艇运动列为比赛项目。英国牛津大学等世界顶级学府都将皮划艇作为大学生运动项目。皮划艇是一种完美集动静于一体的运动。在这样宁静而平衡的氛围中，许多学习及生活中的疑惑和困苦都会迎刃而解。这项运动更是受到精英人士的追捧。
In addition to exercise, canoeing is also a sport that can achieve willpower, enhance self-confidence, cultivate independence and team spirit. Exploring, determination and cooperation are the essential elements of canoeing, as well as qualities that will be beneficial for students’ future.
皮划艇运动除了能够帮助孩子锻炼健康的身体以外，还是一项能够磨练人的意志力，增强自信心，和培养团队精神的运动。探索、坚定、合作，是皮划艇运动的精神，也是能让学生受益终生的品质，帮助他们不断发掘自我，融入世界舞台。
The best education is to develop children’s ability, not just to instill knowledge but to develop the whole person. CAVC insists on leading students into the wider world and encouraging them to explore. Because the knowledge they acquire in the process is more stable. At the same time, creativity is very important in education, and it is the key to cultivating all-round talents. 本周，为了培养我们学生的意志力、启发学生的创造性，我们来到了卡迪夫公学皮划艇课程训练基地。
With the guidance of foreign teachers and professional coaches, our students gradually mastered this sport through exploring again and again, and they have understood that only by persistence and aggressive exploration can they become elites.
在外教老师和专业教练的带领下，一次又一次的探索中，我们的学生逐渐掌握了这项运动。通过这项运动他们懂得了只有坚持以及进取探索，才能驶向远方，成为精英。
