As the school year is winding down to a close and students are getting ready for summer vacation, CISK has held it's second book fair of the school year to encourage our students to continue growing their love of books over the holiday. Our students all enjoyed browsing the large selection of popular books in English and Mandarin. Both of the book fairs at CISK were very successful this year thanks to our wonderful families!
随着学年即将结束，学生们准备开始享受暑假之际，昆山加拿大国际学校举办了本学年第二次图书展，以鼓励学生们在假期继续保持并增长对书籍阅读的热爱。我们的学生们喜欢浏览大量英语和中文的热门书籍。今年，CISK的两次书展都非常成功，感谢大家的支持！
To celebrate literacy in December, CISK had our first book week. During this time OBIDO held a book fair at CISK. As well, students were encouraged to donate books to a school in Jiangsu province, encouraging others to read and learn as well. Through this process, our students have furthered their knowledge on the value of literacy as well as the value of giving. CISK students have demonstrated our principled and caring traits brilliantly through our actions during this time. CISK students amazed us and donated over 1300 books to the Pizhou Zhaodun Central Primary School. Way to go!
去年12月，我们组织了读书周活动以帮助学生进一步提高读写能力。在此期间，欧贝豆也在CISK举办了书展。同时，我们也鼓励学生向江苏省的一所学校捐赠书籍，鼓励他人阅读和学习。在这个过程中，学生们进一步了解了识字和给予的价值所在。CISK的学生通过自己的实际行动展现了富有原则和关爱他人的品质。最后，我们成功为邳州赵墩中心小学募集了超过1300本书籍！
As a result of our book fairs, CISK's book team has been able to purchase over 170 new books for our library. This year we focused on building our non-fiction section of the library along with books related to accepting diversity as our school becomes more internationally minded each year.
通过我们的书展，CISK的图书团队已经为我们的图书馆购买了170多本新书。今年我们专注于建立图书馆的非小说类文学作品以及其他与接受多样性相关的书籍，因为我们的学校每年都在变得更加国际化。
Thank you to the grade 7s who created beautiful posters to announce the events to the students. And thank you to the Book Week team and Ms.Kathy and Ms.Ali for organizing these events for our students. Your dedicated work has brought the joy of reading to many children, both at CISK and at Pizhou! We hope to continue building upon promoting literacy at CISK!
